Tribeca Loft

This gut renovation of a 5,000 square-foot loft sits above the historic streets of Tribeca. Designed for an art-collecting client as both gallery and home, the architecture is intentionally restrained, crafted to recede. Artisan plaster walls, custom-quarried stone, and figured walnut form the basis of a material palette that is tactile and quietly expressive. Sharp corners were softened, adding warmth and creating rooms that feel continuous. By reducing visual noise and sharpening spatial relationships, the architectural design creates room for art, light, and family life to take center stage. The intention of the architecture is for it to become a perfect background: calm, measured, and intentional.
